Connecting LinkedIn Account

Step-by-step guide to connect your LinkedIn account to Zirora Pulse

Prerequisites

Before you begin:

  • A LinkedIn account (Personal profile or Company Page)
  • Admin access if connecting a Company Page
  • Latest version of your web browser

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Navigate to Accounts Page

  1. Log in to your Zirora Pulse account
  2. Click on Accounts in the left sidebar
  3. Click the "Add New Social" button

Step 2: Select LinkedIn Platform

  1. Click on the LinkedIn option from the list of platforms

Step 3: Authorize Zirora Pulse

  1. You'll be redirected to LinkedIn's authorization page

  2. Log in to your LinkedIn account if prompted

  3. Review the permissions requested:

    • Basic profile information (name, profile picture)
    • Email address
    • Post on your behalf
    • Manage your Company Pages (if applicable)
  4. Click "Allow" to grant permissions

Step 4: Select Profiles/Pages

  1. After authorization, you'll see all your LinkedIn profiles and pages
  2. Select the profile or page you want to connect

Step 5: Complete Setup

  1. Your LinkedIn account will now appear in the Accounts list
  2. The account is ready for posting!

Required Permissions

  • r_liteprofile: Basic profile information
  • r_emailaddress: Your email address
  • w_member_social: Post, comment, and like on your behalf
  • rw_organization_admin: Manage your Company Pages

What Zirora Pulse Can Do

  • Post content to your timeline
  • Schedule posts for future dates
  • Post to Company Pages you administer
  • Read your basic profile information

What Zirora Pulse Cannot Do

  • Access your private messages
  • See your connections' information
  • Post without your approval
  • Make changes to your account settings

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

"Authorization Failed"

  • Ensure you're logged into the correct LinkedIn account
  • Check if you have pop-up blockers enabled
  • Try a different web browser
  • Clear browser cookies and cache

"Company Page Not Showing"

  • Verify you have Admin or Content Manager role
  • Check if the Company Page is active
  • Try refreshing the page or reconnecting

"Cannot Post to Company Page"

  • Re-check your permissions on LinkedIn
  • Ensure the page is not restricted or suspended
  • Try re-authenticating the account

Error Messages

"Invalid redirect_uri"

"Permissions not granted"

  • You must grant all requested permissions
  • Without permissions, posting won't work

Re-authenticating LinkedIn

LinkedIn access tokens expire periodically. To re-authenticate:

  1. Go to Accounts page
  2. Click the three-dot menu on the LinkedIn account
  3. Select "Re-authenticate"
  4. Follow the authorization flow again

Removing LinkedIn Account

To disconnect:

  1. Go to Accounts page
  2. Click the three-dot menu on the LinkedIn account
  3. Select "Remove Account"
  4. Confirm removal

Note: Scheduled posts for this account will not be published after removal.
