Connecting X (Twitter) Account

Connect your X (Twitter) account to Zirora Pulse for social media management

Prerequisites

Before connecting:

  • An active X (Twitter) account
  • X Developer Portal access with approved application
  • X API access credentials (handled by Zirora Pulse)

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Access Accounts Page

  1. Log into Zirora Pulse
  2. Click Accounts in the sidebar
  3. Click "Add New Social"

Step 2: Select X (Twitter)

  1. Choose X (Twitter) from the platform list
  2. You'll be redirected to X's authorization page

Step 3: X Authorization

  1. Log in to your X account if prompted

  2. Review requested permissions:

    • Read Tweets: View your timeline and tweets
    • Write Tweets: Post tweets on your behalf
    • Like Tweets: Like tweets from your account
    • Read User Profile: Access your profile information
    • Media Upload: Upload images and videos to tweets
  3. Click "Authorize app" to grant permissions

Step 4: Complete Setup

  1. After authorization, you'll return to Zirora Pulse
  2. Your X account will appear in the Accounts list
  3. You can now post and schedule tweets

Permissions Required

Essential Permissions

  • tweet.read: Read tweets and timelines
  • tweet.write: Post tweets and replies
  • users.read: Read user profile information
  • like.read: View likes
  • media.write: Upload media attachments
  • offline.access: Refresh tokens for continuous access

What Zirora Pulse Can Do

  • Post tweets and threads
  • Schedule tweets for optimal timing
  • Add images and videos to tweets
  • Monitor tweet engagement
  • Reply to mentions (future feature)

What Zirora Pulse Cannot Do

  • Access your direct messages
  • Follow/unfollow accounts
  • Modify account settings
  • Delete tweets (without approval)

X API Rate Limits

Be aware of X's API rate limits:

  • Posts: Limited by X's posting policies
  • Media Uploads: Size and format restrictions apply
  • API Calls: Daily and per-minute limits

Troubleshooting

Common Issues

"Authorization Failed"

  • Ensure you're logged into the correct X account
  • Check if pop-up blockers are enabled
  • Try clearing browser cookies and cache
  • Verify X account is not suspended

"Cannot Post Tweet"

  • Check if tweet exceeds 280 characters
  • Verify media attachments meet requirements
  • Ensure account hasn't reached daily limits
  • Check for any temporary X API issues

"Media Upload Failed"

  • Ensure file size is under 5MB for images
  • Videos must be under 512MB
  • Supported formats: JPG, PNG, GIF, MP4, MOV
  • Check internet connection stability

Error Messages

"Rate Limit Exceeded"

  • Wait before posting more content
  • Space out scheduled posts

"Invalid Credentials"

  • Try re-authenticating your account
  • Contact support if issue persists

Posting Best Practices

Character Limits

  • Tweets: 280 characters maximum

Optimal Posting Times

  • Weekdays: 8 AM - 4 PM (local time)
  • Engagement peaks: 12 PM - 3 PM
  • Test different times for your audience

Media Guidelines

  • Images: 1600x900px recommended
  • Videos: 1280x720px minimum
  • GIFs: Keep under 15MB
  • Alt Text: Always add for accessibility

Re-authentication

X tokens may expire or need refresh. To re-authenticate:

  1. Go to Accounts page
  2. Click ⋮ on the X account
  3. Select "Re-authenticate"
  4. Follow X authorization flow

Removing X Account

To disconnect:

  1. Go to Accounts page
  2. Click ⋮ on the X account
  3. Select "Remove Account"
  4. Confirm removal

Note: Scheduled tweets for this account will be canceled after removal.
